Homemade Flavored Butter

To make your own homemade flavored butter, beat ¼ cup unsalted butter until creamy.
Now decide what flavor you want.
Three good ones are bacon butter, herb butter and sun dried tomato butter.

To make Bacon Butter, take the beaten butter and mix in minced cooked bacon, minced chives, black and red pepper, to taste.

Beat your favorite fresh herbs into the butter to make Herb Butter. Possibilities include thyme, chives, oregano, parsley, salt and black pepper.

To make Sun Dried Tomato Butter, add minced sun dried tomatoes, pinch red pepper flakes or ground red pepper, salt and black peper, to taste.

Once you’re finished mixing the butter, either use immediately or put into a small container and refrigerate. Be sure to let me know what other flavors of butter you come up with!

The herb butter sounds great, valmg :) . I’ve always wanted to try making it since I saw it on Jaime Oliver.

I have a recipe for vanilla honey butter that is to die for. We always have some in our fridge for toast or on carrots. Yum.
