Here are this week’s four questions.
#1. Cold cuts. Prepackaged or sliced fresh at the deli counter?
#2. Which ingredient reduces acidity in red sauce? Corn syrup, molasses or brown sugar.
#3. Whipped cream. Fresh, canned or frozen?
#4. How do you make pea soup? If you don’t, share a recipe that you use peas in.
We used to use prepackaged, but I will now only buy from the deli and I like to watch while they’re slicing it. I pack lunch for me and hubby every day. It is brown sugar, and we can thank my hubby for this one. Fresh whipped cream rocks, but I can honestly say U have never made it myself. Depending on what it’s needed for we use either the can or cool whip. I have never made pea soup myself. My Mom used to make it well but that’s not the case any more. I decided this past week I am probably going to take a crack at it.
I don’t want to keep you waiting any longer, so here’s what I learned from Four Foods on Friday #13.
I get the impression that Lynne does not think very highly of peas. Lynne, I think all kids like the whipped cream in the can because they squirt it right into their mouths. Lynne makes all sorts of crafts. If you’re into crafts then now is a good time to start reading her blog because she’s decided she’s going to post pictures of her creations. She cleans up nice! By the way. I totally forgot Lynne tagged me for a meme. Sorry Lynne, I will tackle it this week.
Blueyes is disappointed with me, and likes provolone cheese. Sorry girl! It’s just another number. Go check out her recipe for homemade chicken noodle soup. And tell her Go Giants!
Sandy knew the answer was brown sugar. She’s shared a very interesting sounding pea soup recipe for this meme. Now if you visit Sandy’s blog you’ll see that she likes to participate in certain memes, and I’m thrilled that she participates in mine. If you want to learn more about her, just read the answers to a grown up survey.
Karen has shared a recipe called Layer Salad that uses peas. Does the Miracle Whip stay in a layer? Karen writes some interesting stuff, but I’m sure glad she doesn’t include these in the layer salad!!!
Skeet doesn’t have any pea recipes to share, but from the look of things it sounds like Skeet eats sandwiches as frequently as I do. Now I’m a potato bread lover. I have never tried store bought cibatta bread, I never even noticed it in the bread aisle. What’s it taste like? Is it something you’re getting that’s baked fresh or is in the bread aisle? Skeet is a great author and a terrific blogging neighbor, even if she’s got a porn site going. LOL. It just hit me that I neglected to Share Some Good Stuff with her yesterday. I’m sorry Skeet, I’ll send something for next weeks. I almost forgot to mention too, you’ve got to see what she’s got going on every Tuesday. It’s not a peep show, but it is a lot of fun!
Madelein doesn’t like peas and she doesn’t like standing in line at the deli counter. I hear that! I hate standing in line there, but I like the cold cuts so much better so I do. Now I time my trip to the grocery store for when the line isn’t as bad. Also, since the store remodeled they’ve staffed much better. Madelein has shared another digiscrapbook this week, as well as some tips for making one. Nice work!
It sure is easy to tell that Corrin likes freshly made whipped cream. How do you make yours? Wanna know what’s in Corrin’s fridge? Take a look for yourself.
Well, that’s all for this week folks. Thanks again for participating, and check back tomorrow for four new questions.
EDIT2.
Kelly was running late but we’re glad she made it. She’s already got next week’s answers up!

Giants? pfft…
You know I thought I was doing good to start my chicken roasting this morning at 7 AM when I let the dogs out so I could go back to bed and then I just went down to pull the chicken off because I figured it was done. Of course I forgot to plug the dang thing in :/

I’m a Giants fan since the days of LT. And I was so looking forward to the soup. LOL.
These were very interesting questions this week Val!
Good answers…but I wish everyone would give peas some love! They are tasty little green guys!

I like peas, even just plain with a little butter.
