What I learned from Four Foods on Friday #19
I’m really sorry this is a day late folks. I’m struggling with a personal issue.
People that replied throughout the week and today received two deep links. Anyone else interested in joining in after this roundup is welcome but will only receive one link.
Any regular participant of FFOF, that has played 6x or more is eligible to receive a link if they want one, all they need do is let me know they want one. The links are in the sidebar.
If you would like to receive a weekly email reminding you to participate in the meme please fill out the form on the meme home page. Or, better yet, subscribe to the feed. That means you’ll get new recipes to try every day in your reader!
Here are this week’s four questions.
#1. Do you ever use scissors to cut any foods? Which? Raw or cooked?
#2. Popcorn. Homemade, microwave, bagged, hot, cold. How do you like it?
#3. Sushi. Love it or hate it?
#4. Share a dessert recipe. Love my Oreo pudding pie.
This was the last week that playing counted for entries in the contest. Anyone that participated any week should have left a comment for each week they participated on the contest announcement in order to receive entries for playing.
I do not use scissors to cut foods, although my mother cuts foods with them all of the time. On a related note, I have a box knife. That’s what I call the little knife in the knife block that I can find no other purpose for, and I use it for opening boxes.
Popcorn. Microwave , extra butter.
Sushi. Hate it. (It’s fish.)
My Oreo Pudding Pie.
Blair shared a recipe for her favorite flan and prefers homemade popcorn. Find out what she did to tire her out when this picture was taken.
Lisa shared a recipe for Easter Bonnet cookies (wiht pics) and likes all sorts of popcorn. She’s also got a tasty sounding chicken enchilada recipe up.
Lori has shared a recipe for Pookey (possibly again) and really likes white almond bark covered popcorn. She’s got an extensive piece on cooking oils up that’s pretty helpful too.
Kelly shared a recipe for strawberry cream delight and likes homemade popcorn. Kelly witnessed the one thing that offends me the most and actually wrote something very much like things I have written on I know EVERYTHING - just ask my hubby. Thanks for getting it Kelly, so many people just don’t.
Sarafina shared a recipe for apple and almond custard tart and likes homemade popcorn. She also just participated in the book meme I started seeing a couple of weeks ago.
Kari shared a recipe for flourless chocolate cake and likes microwave popcorn. She also tells us there was quite a hassle ordering pizza at her work recently.
Judi shared a recipe for homemade whipped cream and likes homemade popcorn. Judi’s got a recipe for a homemade breakfast pizza up that sounds so good I’m going to try it.
Laura shared a recipe for Lazy Wife Pie and likes homemade popcorn. She’s also really good at finding bargains, you’ve got to see what she got for what she spent.
Madelein tells us what she wants for dessert and likes both homemade and microwave popcorn. She also tells us about some advertising a local business is doing that doesn’t seem to make much sense.
Lynne shared a cake recipe and likes microwave popcorn. You have got to see her daughters lips in this video!
Blueyes shared a pie recipe, of sorts, and likes both homemade and microwave popcorn. She’s also got Dinosaurs coming to her area.
Charla shared a recipe for Pineapple Delight and likes homemade popcorn. If you’ve never had Ants on a Log, check out her recipe.
Elle shared a recipe for Blondies and sticks with microwave popcorn these days. The story of Elle’s son Max having such an awful time in school hits near home plate for me personally and causes me yet again to wonder where these children learn their behaviors.
Karen shared a recipe for Pretzel Salad and likes movie theater popcorn. I’ve not heard of a lodge room before, but Karen’s got one and it sure does look nice.
Ami-Chan shared a recipe for Helen’s Layer and isn’t nuts about popcorn. She’s also got a recipe for how to make curry up, with pics.
Skeet shared a recipe for Pink Lemonade Pie and likes microwave popcorn. For anyone that doesn’t read Skeet’s blog regularly, you don’t know what you’re missing. Stuff like this shows what great character she has. (And she runs a fun game the Tuesday Teaser every week and a feel good meme Share Some Good Stuff every Thursday.)
Corrin shared a recipe for Coffee Cloud Meringues and likes homemade popcorn. She also makes an observation about fifteen minutes of fame based on recent experience.
That’s it for week 19. Thanks to those who visit and play, especially those who might be here regularly (sometimes before me). I appreciate it.
