What I learned from Four Foods on Friday #21

Sorry the round up was put up late this week. Again.

Any regular participant of FFOF, that has played 6x or more is eligible to receive a link if they want one, all they need do is let me know they want one. The links are in the sidebar.

If you would like to receive a weekly email reminding you to participate in the meme please fill out the form on the meme home page. And don’t forget to subscribe to the feed. That means you’ll get new recipes to try every day in your reader!

Here are this week’s four questions.

#1. What’s your favorite fruit and how do you like to eat it?
#2. What is the one spice in your kitchen you use more than any other?
#3. Pudding. Instant, stovetop or premade?
#4. Share a recipe using potatoes.

Tough question, just one? Bananas, green grapes, oranges, apples and strawberries, all plain. Apples cut and peeled.
Sea salt at the table, garlic powder when cooking.
Pudding. Instant. When I cook it on the stove it comes out gross.
My favorite one of course, corn sausage chowder. It absolutely rocks!

With no further delay, here’s what I learned from Four Foods on Friday #21. The question I am comparing answers to this week pertains to pudding. The answers to chose from were instant (from a box but doesn’t require cooking), stovetop (from a box but you cook it) and premade (you buy it already made in a store). The most popular answer was instant. Anyone who shared a recipe had their post stumbled.

Karen shared a recipe for potato salad. She uses instant pudding. Karen is on a mini vacation right ow, learning a new quilt pattern. Hope you’re enjoying yourself Karen!

Blair shared a recipe for Tortilla de Patata. She uses instant pudding. Blair is a relatively new player, so it was neat to be able to read some random weird things about her.

Judi shared a recipe for Tater Tot Casserole. She uses instant pudding. Judi wrote an article with a little blurb about the different sites that bought ads on her widget. Neat idea Judi!

Kari shared a recipe for a potato spinach casserole. She doesn’t really like pudding but if she does it’s instant. Kari recently did a mini review of a computer game I didn’t know was out there, a version of the fame Life.

Val mentions having french fries made in a way I’ve never heard before. She buys her pudding at the bakery, so she considers it instant and stovetop. She recently offered a suggestion on how people can help themselves be the best person they can be.

Elle shared a recipe for Twice Baked Potatoes. She doesn’t like pudding. Elle recently shared her views on daylight saving time. I recommend reading them.

Siri is a new FFOF player. Welcome Siri! Siri shared a recipe for Potato Rosti. She usually uses instant pudding. Siri also recently shared a recipe for lemony green tea.

Lori shared a recipe for Cheese Taters. Lori uses instant pudding unless making her homemade banana pudding. Lori recently wrote a review of a new social site called Food Connect.

Lisa shared a recipe for Slow Cooker Roast. She uses instant pudding. Lisa recently wrote on how to put out a grease fire, and why you shouldn’t use water.

Chili Queen shared a recipe for Baked Potatoes. She buys premade pudding. Chili Queen also recently put up a recipe for linguine alfredo.

Madelein tells us how she makes her roasted potatoes. She mentions a specific mousse she really likes, Woolies, that I’m going to guess is premade. If you’ve seen the picture Madelein put up of her son recently you know that is not an Easter egg on his forehead.

Sarafina shared a recipe for Cream of Broccoli soup. She uses instant pudding. Sarafina recently shared how much her cat likes cheese. Sarafina got her sidebar link this week, I know her homepage is under construction but she’s got a cute cone on it so I put her link up now anyway.

Bunny tells us how she makes potato wedges. She buys premade pudding. Bunny recently wrote quite a fun post as an entry in a contest for a green ipod. Hope you win Bunny!

Blueyes shared a recipe for baked potatoes. She doesn’t eat a lot of pudding but when she does she uses instant pudding. Blueyes recently sent some cute gifts for a set of twins. (Of course they’re a pair of twins, if they weren’t a pair they wouldn’t be twins. I’m so silly sometimes.)

Corrin shared her Mom’s recipe for pierogi casserole. She buys premade pudding. She was recentkly given a terrific early birthday present out of fear she’d self gift herself before the big day.

Skeet shared a recipe for Cheesy Potato Bake. She’s not a big fan of pudding but keeps some premade individual servings on hand. Skeet’s a great blogging buddy and an outgoing friendly woman. How outgoing? Let me put it this way. She recently shared a photo of her butt on the internet.

Lynne shared a recipe for a potato casserole. She is also not overly fond of pudding but uses instant when the need arises. Lynne recently shared a memory from a trip taken after college graduation that made me laugh out loud.

Laura shared a recipe for Leftover Mashed Potato Cakes. She uses instant pudding. Recently Laura not only introduced her family to her new readers but she also invited everyone to take a dip in their swimming pool.

That’s it for week 21 highlights. A great big thank you to everyone that participated. New questions will be up today but take your time answering them as highlights won’t be done for two weeks (03/28/08) because next week is Easter and I’m cooking and having everyone over so I have to get the house ready.

  9. Lynne - It’s all family but my house looks like a disaster area. My hubby was teasing me yesterday when I told him the house was a mess and he said “yes but you’re happy”. I’m still unsure exactly how he meant that.
