What I learned from Four Foods on Friday #22

Hi! Is this strange? I’ve missed you all! Sorry if I didn’t explain better I was taking last week off due to the Easter holiday. Thanks to those that emailed to check on me.

Any regular participant of FFOF, that has played 6x or more is eligible to receive a link if they want one, all they need do is let me know they want one. The links are in the sidebar.

If you would like to receive a weekly email reminding you to participate in the meme please fill out the form on the meme home page. And don’t forget to subscribe to the feed. That means you’ll get new recipes to try every day in your reader!

Here are this week’s four questions.

#1. What’s your favorite form of potatoes?
#2. Pie crust. Premade or from scratch?
#3. Vegetables. Fresh, frozen or canned?
#4. What one dish do you wish you could prepare better?

I love mashed potatoes.
Pie crust. Premade, without a doubt.
Corn. Fresh corn on the cob is my favorite, with butter, salt and pepper.
How much time do you have? Let’s start with an easy one. Eggs over easy. I always break the yolks. I am not able to make eggs with the yolk unbroken.

Here’s what I learned from Four Foods on Friday #22. The question I am comparing answers to this week pertains to piecrust. The answers to chose from were premade or made from scratch. The most popular answer was premade.

Ami-Chan uses premade piecrust. Ami-Chan recently moved into a house and is facing a tighter budget. She even mentioned something I myself suggested recently as a way to save money.

Karen uses premade piecrust. Karen’s trying out Mr Linky for this meme on her site. I thought was pretty cool to see my own meme being linked like that. She wrote a great review of Zookoda that you should check out if you’re someone who blogs a lot.

Sarafina uses premade piecrust. Sarafina recently did something my Mom’s always done, cleaned out her clothes. Guess how much stuff she cleaned out?

Blueyes uses premade piecrust. If you’ve ever considered getting magnets for yourself or your business go to her blog, where she’ll tell you how to get 25 small magnets for free.

Corrin uses premade piecrust. If you haven’t visited Corrin’s blog lately, you missed reading about some of the news she’d been finding this past week. One’s a real doozy!

Lori both uses premade piecrust and makes her own from scratch, depending on what she’s making and who it’s for. Go visit Lori at My Wooden Spoon today and enter to win the chile twister she’s giving away.

DeeBee is a new player in FFOF. Welcome DeeBee! DeeBee is from the home state of my favorite band. DeeBee prefers the taste of piecrust made from scratch but due to time constraints uses premade. She’s been planting lately, and decided to grow some vegetables but has one good reason to grow them in containers hanging on her fence.

Kelly makes piecrust from scratch. Kelly was on vacation for two weeks but wanted to do the FFOF she missed while she was away. How awesome is that! Thanks Kelly! In it she shares a recipe for what I think would be called a homemade potato cube. Yumm!

Lisa uses premade piecrust. Lisa changed the theme for Lisa Cooking recently, it looks great Lisa! She’s got a piece I thought was really interesting on how to dye Easter eggs naturally.

Val uses premade piecrust. Val’s been blogging for two months now. Don’t you love it Val! She’s got a neat summary of what she’s learned and who she’s met so far.

ChiliQueen prefers piecrust made from scratch but to save time uses premade. ChiliQueen includes photos in many of her posts, which is great. She’s given great instructions on how to make a toasty sandwich. I must ask about the last picture on this post.

Blair usually uses premade frozen piecrust.Blair recently had a neat opportunity I’d probably really enjoy. She got a sample of some chocolate that is still in development and reviewed it, with pictures.

Laura makes her piecrust from scratch. If you’re ever looking for a book review, try Laura’s blog first because she’s frequently got a book review up. Right now she’s got two giveaways going on.

Elle uses premade piecrusts and makes them from scratch, depending on how much time she’s got. She recently made some neat cupcakes for her wounded son to bring to school on his first day back.

Lynne uses premade piecrusts. Lynne was interviewed by 5 Minutes for Mom not too long ago and her interview has been published. That’s exciting! Congrats Lynne!

Vickie is a new FFOF player. Welcome Vickie! Vickie uses premade piecrust. Vickie’s got a recipe up for meatballs that are intended for the freezer.

Charla sometimes makes piecrusts from scratch and sometimes uses premade. Charla has a number of low fat recipes on her site, one that looks particularly tasty is her recipe for cherry banana bread.

Tere is a new FFOF player. Welcome Tere! Tere uses premade crust. Tere lives in the Phillipines and she has a most amazing picture up for a Photo Hunt entry.

Skeet uses premade piecrusts. Skeet’s not only a great writer but she’s a terrific photographer. This week she put up a fabulous photo of a beach that she took while performing an inspection and another more personal photo where she’s showing some skin.

Bunny isn’t terribly into crust but if she’s having it she likes it thin.Bunny is in the process of making some decisions on marketing her purses that she could use some help with. Give your feedback and earn a chance to win a purse. EDIT 03/30/08. IT TURNS OUT IT’S BUNNY’S FRIENDS PURSES, SEE IF YOU CAN HELP HER OUT.

That’s all folks! Thanks for playing, and see you soon.
