What I learned from Four Foods On Friday #26

Any regular participant of FFOF, that has played 6x or more is eligible to receive a link in my sidebar if they want one, all they need do is ask.
Here are this week’s four questions. This week I’m doing something a little different by going with four questions that all share a theme. The theme is “dinner out”.
#1. When going out to dinner what items do your order? Appetizers, soup, salad, dinner, dessert.
#2. How predictable are you when eating out? Do you usually order a meal that you’ve had before or do you like to try new things?
#3. When eating at a restaurant, what beverage do you like to order with your meal?
#4. Name a meal that you ate at a restaurant that you liked so much you tried to recreate it, as well as the name of the restaurant and the recipe.
This weeks challenge is to make any constructive suggestion on how to improve, add to or enhance this site OR this meme. It must be a suggestion to earn a challenge entry. Just include your suggestion in your post for the week. Remember, the prize winner will be drawn from all challenge entries at the end of the month.
When we go out to dinner, I always order dinner. Sometimes soup, depending on the weather and what the soup is. Rarely appetizers.
My friend Sue used to always tell me how predictable I was. Hubby says my level of predictability depends on where we’re eating.
Water with lemon. Unless it’s breakfast, then it’s coffee.

Here’s what I learned from Four Foods on Friday #26.
Bunny shared a recipe for her version of Steamed Seabass with Lime and Chili Sauce. Her level of predictability for food depends on where she’s eating. (I couldn’t leave a comment on Bunny’s post because the unfriendly little blogger window wouldn’t let me. Bunny, I stumbled your post.)
Jess is a new player. Welcome Jess! Jess shared a recipe for her version of chicken croissant sandwiches. Her level of predictability for what she orders depends on where she’s eating. (I couldn’t post a comment on Jess’ post because you have to have an account and login. Jess, I stumbled your post.)
Angie shared a recipe for her version of TGI Fridays Jack Daniels glaze. She says she’s rather predictable when eating out.
Lori shared a recipe for her version of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits. She says she’s extremely predictable when eating out.
Val has never tried to recreate something she ate at a restaurant. She says she’s super predictable when eating out.
DeeBee shared a recipe for her version of Applebee’s Oriental Chicken Salad. She says she’s predictable when eating out.
Lisa has never tried to recreate something she ate at a restaurant. She says she’s very predictable when eating out. Lisa has played a number of times now and has been added to the player blogroll my sidebar.
Chili Queen shared a recipe for her version of California Express BBQ and Grill fettucine alfredo. She says she can be adventurous when eating out if the food looks good. Chili Queen has also played a number of times and has been added to the player blogroll in my sidebar.
Charla shared a recipe for her version of Olive Garden’s Artichoke Spinach Dip. She says she’s predictable when eating out.
Kelly shared her version of Candle Cafe Tuscan Lasagna. She loves to try new things.
Laura likes to recreate Outback’s Alice’s Spring Chicken. Her level of predictability for food depends on where she’s eating.
Elle shared a recipe of her version of a variation of Ruby Tuesday Crab Cakes. She likes to try new things.
Jams is a new player. Welcome Jams! Jams’ post brought a big smile to my face because, let’s face it – How cool is it to see my little meme being played in another language! Jams shared a recipe for her version of Fransmanni’s Whitefish. Jams level of predictability depends on the restaurant and her mood. I think Jams is in Finland.
Sandy has tried to recreate Chilis Southwestern Eggrolls. Sandy says she’s usually predictable.
Ash shared a recipe for Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas that was inspired by a Don Pablos chicken dish. Ash likes to try new things unless she’s at her favorite Mexican restaurant.
Lynne tried to recreate KFC bread pudding but it didn’t work so she’s looking for a good recipe for sweet bread pudding. Lynne’s level of predictability depends on the restaurant she’s at.
Corrin feels the Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Mediterranean bread will never be beaten so she hasn’t tried. I’m not 100% sure but I think Corrin was trying to tell us her level of predictability depends on her mood.
Ami-Chan shared recipes that she’s recreated from area restaurants for General Tso’s Chicken and Maki Sushi. Ami-Chan’s level of predictability depends on the restaurant.
Skeet shared instructions on how to make a version of Barbeque Kai Kalbi Ribs. Sheet says she’s adventurous as long as the foods on the menu meet her dietary restrictions.
Tina is a new player. Welcome Tina! Tina has never tried to recreate anything she’s eaten in a restaurant. Tina says she is very predictable.
Challenge suggestions.
Val suggested there be a badge for the monthly winner that everyone can display. She also suggested a FFOF badge.
Charla suggested a FFOF badge be available.
Laura suggested a photo challenge or question be incorporated into the meme.
Kelly suggested listing a few ingredients and players coming up with a recipe using them.
Skeet suggested including photos in FFOF somehow.
There is a teeny tiny banner on the FFOF page (the, ahem, pr3 page).
I’m going to take a couple of days to mull the rest of these suggestions over and see what I can come up with. Feel free to let me know what you think of these ideas.
That’s it for this week. New questions tomorrow. Thanks for playing!
EDIT.
Sarafina played a little late this week. Sarafina hasn’t recreated anything yet but would like to try recreating Red Lobster Crab Alfredo. Sarafina is adventurous at new restaurants.

Dang! I knew I was forgetting something when I wrote my post! I forgot the suggestion. Well, since I forgot to do my own, I’ll say that I do like the idea of a FFOF badge. I think it deserves one after all these weeks!
Hi! Greetings from Finland! I’m so glad to join you, and perhaps my fellow Finns join too, after reading my entries now and in future.

I found the FFoF banners. Thanks for pointing those out. I can’t believe I overlooked them. I have the larger one on my sidebar now, and the smaller one is great to put at the end of FFoF posts.
Charla’s last blog post..Hopefully?
