What I learned from Four Foods On Friday 34
Happy Friday!
Here were the four questions for this week. I’m sorry I posted them so late.
1. What is one food that is grown, produced or made near where you live.
2. What is one food from another location that you haven’t had anything like anywhere else.
3. What is your favorite food from somewhere else?
4. Share a family, ethnic or international recipe.
Jersey tomatoes. Cranberries. Pork roll. To name a few.
A gyro sandwich in Manchester, NH. (yech.)
Food from our Disney cruise and trips. Or NY style bagels, which are actually here as well as there.
This is a recipe for Polish Potato Dumplings. If I’ve read it correctly, they’re very much like the ones my Grandma used to make.
Here’s what I learned from Four Foods On Friday #32.
Skeet shared a recipe for Kalbi ribs. She lives in Hawaii and papayas grow in her area.
Corrin shared a recipe for pad thai. She lives in Indiana and corn grows in her area.
Charla shared a recipe for Singapore curried chicken. She lives in Texas and peaches grow in her area.
Karen shared a recipe for Chicken Tortilla Bake. She lives in Indiana and corn grows in her area.
Lynne wouldn’t give up the goods and share her Mom’s stew recipe. She lives in Texas and corn grows in her area.
Babet wishes she knew how to make her father’s Calderetta. She lives in the Phillipines and fruit called Durian grows in her area.
Chili Queen shared a recipe for butterfly wontons. She lives in Kuala Lumpor (I think) and papayas grow right in her neighbor’s yard.
Laura shared a recipe for Pumpkin Butter. She lives in Tennessee and tomatoes and pumpkins grow in her area.
Anele shared a recipe for Chilled Tropical Fruit Purée with Rambutan Stuffed Pineapple. She lives in Hawaii but mentions the corn that grows in Ohio. Maybe she grew up there?
Blair shared a recipe for Beef coe-ganof. She lives in Arizona and tomatoes grow in her area, as do beef and dairy products.
Blueyes didn’t have a recipe to share this week. She’s from and tomatoes grow in her area.
That’s it for this week. A new set of questions goes up tomorrow. See ya!
