What I learned from Four Foods On Friday 36

Happy Friday!

Here were the four questions for this week.

#1. Name your biggest cooking influence.
#2. What is your ultimate comfort food?
#3. Name one must have tool that you think every kitchen should have.
#4. Share a time saving tip.

My children and my hubby are probably my biggest cooking influence.
Only one ultimate comfort food? Ha. Not possible. Chicken friend steak, mashed potatoes and corn if I’m out. Or cheesecake. Or stuffing. If I’m home it’s probably corn sausage chowder. Or Oreos and milk. Or cookies and cream ice cream with hot fudge. Or pudding pie. Should I continue?
Not a tool but something I recommend. A chest freezer.
For me, it’s having someone else peel the potatoes. It takes me forever to do them.
Here’s what I learned from Four Foods On Friday 36.

Sheri shared a time saving tip on meal planning and thinks every kitchen should have a Kitchen Aid mixer. She’s been playing long enough that she got a FFOF Regulars link this week.

DeeBee shared what tool she uses to save time in the kitchen and thinks every kitchen should have a good knife.

Anele shared the tool she uses to save time in the kitchen and thinks every kitchen should have a sharp chef’s knife. She also got her FFOF Regulars link this week.

Skeet shared the two foods she always keeps in bags ready to use in the freezer to save time and thinks every kitchen should have wooden spoons.

Heather shared a time saving idea for parents with toddlers and people that love cookies AND a recipe for dumplings and thinks every kitchen should have a crockpot.

Laura shared how she saves time by making her own mixes instead of buying prepackaged and thinks every kitchen should have silicone spatulas.

Corrin shared a time saving onion prep tip and thinks every kitchen should have a silicone brush.

Charla shared a time saving tip for chicken prep and thinks every kitchen should have a pair of kitchen shears.

Karen shared a time saving cooking tip for corn on the cob and thinks every kitchen should have the phone number for a good Chinese restaurant.

EDIT TO ADD PLAYERS

That’s it for this week. Thanks for playing! See you tomorrow with a new set of questions.
