Chocolate Brownies

- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup shortening 2 sqs chocolate or 2 tbsp. cocoa
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1 cup nuts (optional)
Melt shortening and chocolate in saucepan.
Add rest of ingredients and stir.
Put in greased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for 35 minutes.
Can be doubled and put in 9 x 13 inch pan.
