Pepperidge Farms Cookie House Sweepstakes And A Giveaway
valmg | Dec 12, 2009 | Comments 83

I’ve admired gingerbread houses for many years. They are amazing looking works of art, aren’t they? I know people that have made them and know how much time and work they require to create. Pepperidge Farms, maker of one of my favorite cookies (the Chocolate Enrobed Milano) is currently holding a Cookie House Sweepstakes and the prize is BIG! Here’s the announcement I got.
This holiday season, Pepperidge Farm will help more families experience the joy of time spent together at home and the pay off will be HUGE for one lucky baker!
Pepperidge Farm is inviting consumers to upload a cookie house photograph or personal holiday baking story for a chance to win a $10,000 gift card to a home improvement store for an enhancement project. For cookie house novices and experts alike, Pepperidge Farm developed an online video showing step-by-step directions for creating a classic cookie house complete with homemade icing. The video can be found at http://cookiehouse.pepperidgefarm.com. Now through December 31st, consumers are invited to go online and access the recipe featuring Pepperidge Farm® cookies, as well as share their own cookie house photograph or personal holiday baking story with others.
And in celebration of families making memories in homes of their own, Pepperidge Farm is proud to support Habitat for Humanity this holiday season by donating $50,000 to help eliminate poverty housing.
That’s a terrific prize! I’ve never made a cookie house but sure am thinking about trying my hand at one now. And I always love to see companies helping the community like Pepperidge Farms is supporting Habitat For Humanity.
For those of you entertaining during the holidays, Pepperidge Farms makes delicious cookies that are perfect for entertaining. The sugar cookies are so yummy. TJ thinks they’re great with hot cocoa. The gingerbread is tasty and perfect with a glass of milk. The Cinnamon Holiday Cookie Bites are tasty little morsels of cinnamon shortbread heaven. Keep a couple of packages in the kitchen for when guests stop over.
WIN IT!
ONE winner will receive a prize pack of Pepperidge Farm Holiday Cookies similar to the one shown above.

I don’t plan on baking a cookie house, but if I did, I’d put Milano Cookies as my doors and lots of gumdrops, lavender ones, as my roof. Of course there’d be M&Ms as windows.

I don’t plan on entering, then again, I might. Sorry, not sure yet. But if I were to build one, I would use Milano Cookies, white icing, cinimon, cinomon sticks — (I want a wood cabin; like my parents’ house).

I always buy athe pre made kits and we just decorate it with M&M’s, Necco waffers, licorice, gum drops and jelly beans. I don’t have the talent to enter the sweepstakes but if I did I would use their Cookie Bites to make the ouside of the house like shingles.

I wish I could win it for all my grandchildren. It would be a true lesson in sharing hopefully. I would use it as a centerpiece when we have our special Christmas with NV when she meets most of the family for the first time.
I am attempting my first one (from a kit) this week. I plan on using candy canes, m&m’s , mini marshmellows and gumdrops. I’m sure my daughter will go overboard with glitter-snow!
I am not entering the sweepstake but I would put gumdrops, licorice and jelly beans on my house.

If I were building a cookie house, I’d use Milano cookies as my roof tiles and their gingerbread cookies – with decorated faces I’d add – for the people. I’d be different and make it a chocolate house with white icing. My cookie house-building and photography skills are not sharp enough to enter this contest. It sounds like fun!

At Here And There, I commented on the review for the Rojeti Travel Laundry Bags. Those look perfect for people on the go!
At Here And There, I commented on the post on Decorating Underway. I am sure passers-by love the decorated front yard!
At Here And There, I commented on the post on Missing My Tree. It is comforting that we can keep special people and things “alive” in our memories!
At Here And There, I commented on the review for Santa Buddies. This is a movie we want to see. It looks like fun!
At Here And There, I commented on the review for Brazilets. This is the first time I’ve heard of these. I hope it works! Being mindful is helpful for us to reach our goals, so these may be great “reminders” of what we’re trying to achieve!
At Here And There, I commented on the review for Short Stories. I could tell the cover art was by Pinkney. He has such a distinctive artistic style!
My chimmney would be a straw (a candy straw maybe?) into a glass of milk inside the house. I’d find some way to use the Milanos and if there were any left over… well, waste not, want not! As of right now I don’t think I’ll be entering the contest though.
I would use Milano cookies (my favorite) and pastel mints which I love. Unfortunately, as we no longer have no kids in the house or grandkids yet, I won’t actually be making a Cookie House this year, or entering the contest.
I would make a fence with Pirouettes and have Gingermen standing guard! I wish I had time to make a house

The gingerman cookies would be perfect for my house, looking out of each window of the two story frosting-covered home in the Snowbelt (like ours)… waiting for Santa coming in a snowplow!
I’d make a house out of the milano cookies and then use sugar cookies for the roof with M&Ms along the edges (but I don’t plan on entering).
i would break the milanos in half and use them as roof shingles.and take marshmallow peeps in the tree and snowman shapes for the yard
