Sun Burgers

  • 1/2 pound Extra lean ground beef
  • 1/2 pound Freshly ground turkey breast
  • 1/3 cup Bulgur wheat — uncooked
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 4 Whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 4 Lettuce leaves
  • 4 Unpeeled tomato slices
  • 2 Onion slices

Combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl; stir well.
Divide mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping each into a 1/2″ thick patty.
Coat a grill rack with cooking spray; place on grill over hot coals.
Place patties on rack, and cook 4 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness.
Line bottom half of each bun with a lettuce leaf; top with a patty, tomato slice, onion rings, and top half of bun.
Repeat procedure with remaining ingredients.
4 servings.
NOTE: Sunburgers can be broiled.
Coat a rack with cooking spray; place rack in a shallow roasting pan.
Place patties on rack, and broil 4″ from heat 6 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness.

Teriyaki Burgers

  • 1 pound Ground chuck
  • 2 tablespoons Prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce
  • 4 Hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices

Combine first 3 ingredients; mix well and shape into 4 patties.
Broil or grill to desired doneness, brushing with additional teriyaki sauce, if desired.
Serve on hamburger buns with lettuce leaf and tomato and onion
slices.
Serves 4.

Barbecued Hamburger Patties

  • 1 1/2 pounds Ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup Onion; Chopped — 1 medium
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/3 cup Catsup
  • 1/2 cup Chili Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Mix the meat, onion, and salt together.
Shape the mixture into 6 patties,
each about 3/4-inch thick.
Brown the patties in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning once.
Cover and cook over low heat about 10 minutes.
Drain off the excess fat.
Mix catsup, chili sauce, brown sugar, and lemon juice.
Pour sauce over the patties.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, spooning the sauce onto the patties occasionally.
Serve with the sauce spooned over the patties.

Down Home Grilled Hamburgers

1/2 cup sour cream
3 green onions — chopped, with tops
3 tablespoons bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 pound lean ground beef
4 hamburger buns
shredded lettuce
1 tomato — 4 slices/hamburger
1 yellow onion — 4 slices/hamburger
2 teaspoons mustard
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 tablespoon catsup

Prepare white or yellow sweet onion by slicing in thick slices, place in plastic bag or glass jar with ice water, seal and refrigerate until ready to use.
Slice a vine-ripened tomato into thick slices.
Mix sour cream, chopped green onions, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce and lemon pepper
seasoning.
Mix this in with the ground meat until combined well.
Shape into 4 patties.
Mix the mayonnaise, mustard and catsup.
Blend well.
Place meat on grill over hot coals and cook to desired doneness, turning only once or twice.
To serve, divide the catsup mixture evenly on the warmed hamburger buns, top with a meat patty, tomato slice, onion slice and shredded lettuce.

Burgundy Burgers

1 1/2 pounds Ground Beef
1/4 cup Burgundy Or Other Red Wine
1/4 cup Onion; Finely Chopped — 1 sm.
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
1/8 teaspoon Garlic Salt

Mix all the ingredients together.
Shape mixture into 6 patties, each about 3/4-inch thick.
Broil or grill the patties 4-inches from the heat, turning once, to the desired doneness, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Nice served on toasted buns with a favorite topping.
