  • 8 red curly chillies
  • 3 large red chilies
  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder (boncabe)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 250 ml of water or with a thinness according to taste

How to Make Chicken Thumbs:

  1. Blend / grind the chicken meat and all the other ingredients. If using a chopper, add pieces of chicken meat and all other ingredients except flour, then grind until smooth.
  2. After smooth, add flour then stir well or grind again with a chopper so that it is easily mixed evenly. The sempol dough is ready to be formed.
  3. Take enough dough (size according to taste) pour in one palm, place a stick or skewer in the middle of the dough, then slightly fist or dense using the fingers so that it sticks to the stick and is rather oval shaped.
  4. After finishing forming it into a pot of boiling enough water, wait for it to float and cook, then remove and drain.
  5. Next, fry the sempol; dip the syrup into the beaten egg (or it may be fried half cooked). After flattening with eggs, just fry in the oil that has been heated, while for crispy chicken syrup roll it in bread flour first, then fry until cooked evenly.

How to make Sambal Sauce:

  1. So that the chili sauce is not risky smelled unpleasant or the smell of raw chili, chili can be boiled or fried first until wilted. After that puree with garlic and tomatoes or use a blender with 150 ml of water, set aside.
