- It’s 1 TBS. of bacon grease and/or extra virgin olive oil (I save up bacon grease drippings so I always have a reserve in a jar in the refrigerator).
- You need 1/2 of sweet onion, finely chopped.
- It’s 8 oz. of wine (red or white).

- Prepare 4 of basil leaves, chopped.
- You need 2 of bay leaves, whole.
- Prepare 1 TBS. of dried oregano.
